Let's take a closer look at the third chakra in our body, the Solar Plexus Chakra, also known as Manipura. This chakra holds a lot of power and has some interesting secrets to reveal.

Solar Plexus Chakra

The Solar Plexus Chakra, also known as the third chakra or Manipura in Sanskrit, is located just above your belly button and below your rib cage. It helps to spread energy throughout your body and is responsible for your sense of personal power, willpower, self-esteem, self-discipline, and emotions.

This chakra is also connected to your digestive system and metabolism. It can affect issues like fear, anxiety, and how you form opinions. If you want to feel more confident, expand your mind, and grow spiritually, keeping this chakra balanced and healthy is essential.

The symbolism of the Solar Plexus Chakra.

The Solar Plexus Chakra contains a circle with ten petals and a downward-pointing triangle. The inverted triangle represents the fire element's transformative power.

What does an unbalanced Solar Plexus Chakra feel like?

When the solar plexus chakra is balanced, it can have a significant impact on various aspects of one's life. It can enhance your creativity and allow you to engage in physical activities with more enthusiasm. Additionally, it can help you form deep connections with others and establish long-lasting relationships. A balanced solar plexus chakra can also improve your decision-making abilities, enabling you to set clear goals and achieve them with ease. However, if you find yourself struggling to make decisions, it might be an indication that your solar plexus chakra requires some attention and healing.

Is it underactive or overactive?

The Solar Plexus, responsible for our sense of self-worth and personal power, can sometimes become overactive and lead to various negative symptoms. Some of these symptoms include a constant need to control everything around us, an overly aggressive attitude, and difficulty accepting constructive criticism. We may also experience constant feelings of anxiety and find ourselves prone to panic attacks. In addition, an overactive Solar Plexus can cause us to become highly judgmental and critical of others. We may struggle with managing our emotions, resulting in inflexibility and stubbornness. Furthermore, we might find ourselves fixated on our work and perfectionism, making it difficult to relinquish control.

An underactive Solar Plexus can make you feel like you're experiencing severe emotional problems. It can also cause doubt and mistrust towards others. You may find yourself worrying too much about what other people think of you and tend to avoid your feelings of depression or anxiety. You may feel that you're not good enough and constantly seek approval from others, leading to low energy, weak willpower, and being easily manipulated. Additionally, you may experience low self-esteem, poor digestion, a victim mentality, passivity, and unreliability. Under pressure, you may feel easily overwhelmed by the thoughts and feelings of others, leaving you feeling powerless.

Activities that help you balance your Solar Plexus Chakra.

Taking a walk in the sun.

Walking barefoot in nature under the warm sun is a highly effective way to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra, when you walk barefoot, you are able to connect more deeply with the Earth, which helps to ground and centre you. It also allows you to absorb the healing energy of nature, which can be incredibly rejuvenating. As you walk, take deep breaths and focus on the sensations in your body. Imagine a warm, golden light radiating from your Solar Plexus Chakra, filling you with confidence and inner strength. This practice can be especially beneficial if you find yourself feeling stressed or anxious, as it can help to calm the mind and soothe the nervous system. So, the next time you have the opportunity, take a barefoot walk in nature and feel the power of the Earth and sun balancing your Solar Plexus Chakra.

Sound.

One of my favourite ways to balance my chakras is by using sound. Sounds can stimulate an emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual response. Listening to the soothing sound of wind chimes while basking in the warm rays of the sun can have a profound effect on balancing your chakra. The Solar Plexus sound is RAM and is associated with note E.

Colour.

The colour YELLOW has the ability to balance the Solar Plexus Chakra, one way to incorporate this colour into your daily life is by wearing clothing that represents this chakra. By doing so, you may be able to positively influence your mood, mental clarity, and overall energy levels. Additionally, you may find it helpful to use a yellow water bottle to carry your water. This can help you feel more connected to your chakras, as it infuses your water with the energy of the colour yellow.

Time to read.

Another great way to balance your Solar Plexus Chakra is by reading informational books. Not only does it help to clear your mind and enhance your focus, but it also boosts your knowledge and understanding of various subjects. So why not find a comfortable and cosy spot, preferably under the warm rays of the sun, and immerse yourself in your favourite books? Whether it's a gripping novel or an informative guide, reading is an excellent way to stimulate your mind and replenish your energy.

May this piece of information inspire you on your journey of self-healing.
